WORLD BRIEFS

President Donald Trump will formally receive the credentials of ambassadors from Egypt, Guinea, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, the Czech Republic, and Iraq, during a welcoming ceremony Tuesday at the White House, a White House official told the Africa Bazaar magazine.

The credentialing ceremony, to be held in the White House Oval Office this afternoon, marks the formal presentation of the Ambassadors to the U.S.

The Honorable Ambassador Ibrahima N’Daïry Diallo of Guinea and Honorable Ambassador Mohamed Hamdy Mohamed Mokhtar El-Molla of Egypt— two ambassadors from African countries presenting their credentials as both begin their envoy duties in Washington this month as representatives of their home countries.

Ambassador Mokhtar El-Molla was named by President Al Sisi of Egypt in June to succeed Ambassador Moataz Zahran, who returned to Egypt’s Foreign Ministry in Cairo this month.

Ambassador Diallo’s envoy duties began on September 6.
