Ethiopian Airlines said it has agreed to buy 10 new Q400 aircrafts from Bombardier Commercial Aircraft.

The purchase agreement, which also includes purchase rights for five additional Q400 aircrafts making the total order of aircrafts 15, is valued at approximately $332 million.

The market trend for high-performing and larger turboprops is intensifying, and this fifth reorder is a great example of the Q400 turboprop success story and the value it creates for clients around the world, Cromer said.

The Q400 aircraft, a high-performing aircraft designed as a modern 21st-century turboprop, is the most recent development in the Bombabier’s Q Series family of aircraft. 

The aircraft comes in two configurations: a standard single and a cargo-passenger combi configuration-which seats up to 90 passengers comes with an optional dual-class interior for enhanced passenger comfort.
