Global provider of financial marketplace infrastructure, data services and technology solutions and listings services, Intercontinental Exchange, Inc., said it has hired Jaime L. Klima to lead its NYSE Regulation team as Chief Regulatory Officer in the New York Stock Exchange Group, effective January.

In her new post, Ms. Klima, who holds a J.D. and Master of Public Policy from Duke University, will supervise a team of more than 100 attorneys and professionals who works to ensure the fair and orderly operation of NYSE markets, monitoring and enforce issuers’ compliance with listing standards, members’ compliance with relevant exchange rules and federal securities laws, and exchanges’ compliance with their self-regulatory organization obligations, the company said in a statement.

The President of NYSE Group, Stacey Cunningham, said Ms. Klima’s “extensive background” at CFTC makes her an ideal choice to lead the NYSE Regulation team.

“The importance of our capital markets has never been more evident than during this past year, and we look forward to Jaime’s leadership, skills and experience in this critical role,” said Cunningham in a statement.

Klima joins the NYSE, also known as the Exchange, from Commodity Futures Trading Commission—another exchange markets, where she was Chief of Staff and Chief Operating Officer, managing and supervising the agency’s daily operations as well as advising the agency’s Chairman as lead advisor.
