American multinational transportation company Uber Technologies, Inc. has partnered with San Francisco-based online restaurant reservation service company OpenTable to offer customers an enhanced integration customer service experience.
The companies announced on Monday they plan to jointly roll out in the months ahead what they call a “first of its kind” seamless customer service experience for users that pairs Uber’s ride-hailing and food delivery services with OpenTable dining reservation service to offer seamless transportation access and reservation options as well as membership benefits to customers in Australia, Canada, Ireland, Mexico, U.K, and the U.S.
The new service, which will roll out in phases through the rest of this year, will make it simple and convenient for customers to find and book a restaurant and transportation concomitantly without any fuss.
“It’s a way to help people go out and get the best of their cities,” Uber Chief Executive Officer Dara Khosrowshahi said in a statement announcing the new partnership.
The companies also said they plan to add more features to the service as they work together to innovate.
Uber offered a similar service experience last September in Cape Town, South Africa with its Uber Safari, which allowed riders to book wildlife experience through the Uber app.

The Uber Safari was a limited service experience that was part of Uber’s “Go Anywhere” series products and was available for riders in South Africa from October 2024 through the end of January 2025.
Uber, which has a significant presence across urban cities in Africa, including in Ghana, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Uganda, partnered with one of South Africa‘s top game reserves, Aquila Private Game Reserve to offer users in Cape Town an intimate experience of a unique safari day trip to Aquila Private Game Reserve, a 25,000 acres of protected land, plus hotel accommodation at $200 per trip.
