EXIM is the U.S. Top Export Credit Agency

President Donald Trump has named Jovan “John” Jovanovic as the new President of the United States Export-Import Bank, pending congressional approval.
Jovanovic, who has worked both in the public and private sectors and previously served in the first Trump administration as Regional and Managing Director for the Western Balkans at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, brings to his new role ample investment and business experiences in the energy, commodities and infrastructure sectors.
At the DFC, he led the implementation of President Trump’s historic Washington’s Kosovo and Serbia Economic Normalization Agreement and helped promote regional initiatives that advanced American foreign policy objectives against Chinese and Russian influence in Southeastern Europe
He joins the EXIM Bank from Asplundh Construction–a global infrastructure and construction group, where he served as Chief Strategy Officer managing the firm’s strategic initiative office and corporate development, including mergers and acquisitions, as well as external affairs.

Jovanovic has a degree from Princeton and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.
If confirmed by Congress, he will lead the EXIM Bank for a term of four years ending in 2029. EXIM Bank is America’s official export credit agency with a mission to support American jobs by facilitating U.S. exports.
