Meriam Ibrahim, the Sudanese woman who was rearrested at the airport while trying to leave the country after her death sentence was vacated by the country’s high court following huge outcries from the international community and human activists is now freed and is staying at the U.S. Embassy.
According to reports, the terms of her release states that she has to stay at the embassy and cannot leave the country. She was arrested for the second time for allegedly using fake documents to travel.
